L.I.T. (Ages14-17)
Leaders In Training Program
The L.I.T. summer program has been designed to provide participants with instruction and experience in a wide range of physical and leadership skills; it is physically and intellectually challenging, and helps young adults grow as individuals and work and communicate effectively with others. The program emphasizes teambuilding, leadership skills, goal setting and the challenge to achieve "personal best" in all skills at camp. L.I.Ts are provided with the opportunity to apply newly acquired skills and knowledge to practical situations.

L.I.T. Training
Session 1 (June 15-19)
Mandatory for fieldwork placement
Our
L.I.T. training focuses on the personal and vocational skills that will assist Teens learn leadership, employment,and child development skills. This one-week training session includes topics such as:
- Leadership Training
- CPR/First Aid
- Child Development
- Group Games
- Public Speaking
- Interview Skills
- Rock Climbing/Team Building

L.I.T. Fieldwork Placement
Session 2 (June 22-26)
Session 3 (June29-July 2)
The Field work Placement is an opportunity for L.I.T.s to use their leadership skills while working in a YMCA camp program. L.I.T.s will assist staff in various camp programs, daily activities and receive on-the-job experience that will build a strong foundation for their future employment growth. Teens enjoy learning and making an impact on the lives of others while having fun and earning community service hours.
