In partnership with the Chula Vista Elementary School District, the South Bay Family YMCA is proud to announce enrollment guidelines for the 2009-10 school year as the DASH and STRETCH After School Programs grow and expand. Enrollment in these programs will be similar to previous years. DASH: Applications to enroll in DASH will be available in school offices beginning May 18. Applications will also be available online at www.southbay.ymca.org. Please make sure to return the applications to a YMCA representative at DASH site anytime from Monday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 27. **DASH applications are accepted by YMCA representative during the last half hour of the DASH program which varies by school site as they have different release times.** The DASH Program will continue to use a lottery to determine enrollment. Lottery results will be posted at schools and online June 10. STRETCH: Applications for the STRETCH Program will be available in school offices beginning May 8 through May 22. Completed applications should be returned to the after school coordinator/site supervisor. A signed receipt will be issued confirming submission of your child's application. Receipts do not guarantee enrollment in the 2009-10 STRETCH Program. Families of children selected for STRETCH will be notified prior to the last day of school. DASH +: DASH + schools (Cook, Hilltop, Palomar, and Valle Lindo) will become STRETCH sites beginning July 1. They will offer an expanded program for students. The enrollment procedures for STRETCH will be used for these former DASH+ schools. These schools will not have a lottery to determine enrollment. |
