| This April we celebrate the beginning of our spring lessons by learning how to draw watermelon. The curves of the fruit and the checkered tablecloth pattern are a fun challenge. Next, we learn how to draw a pail full of sand, which teaches us about textures in drawing. After this comes a girl wearing sunglasses. We finish by drawing a scene of beach shells scattered on the sand. This gives us the opportunity to mix the color and texture techniques we've learned | We start our April lessons by practicing expressions of children playing outside. This teaches us how to show action in a cartoon drawing. Then we draw a girl playing paddleball. This helps us to be able to draw a preson in the foreground. The next lesson, a teeter totter, gives us a great chance to show lots of color. Finally, our snorkel expression sequence gives us a chance to practice our expressions again using th edetails and techniques taught this month |
