Traditional
The South Bay Family YMCA provides one of the most positive spring camp experience found anywhere in San Diego County. Your child will grow and enjoy their spring break in a fun and safe environment. Our Traditional day camps are loaded with fun, excitement and adventure for children of all ages. These on-the-go camps offer action packed games, sports, arts, & crafts, themed days, and much more. Campers are grouped by age to ensure that all activities are age appropriate and exciting. Extended AM and PM hours are included in the fee. Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

H2O
This is a perfect chance for your child to learn to swim better and still experience the thrill of day camp. Each day your child will have a 30 minute swim lesson taught by a YMCA certified staff. There will also be plenty of games and activities that have water based themes. Camper will need to bring lunch, swimsuit, towel and sunscreen daily.

Soak City
Come and explore acres of intense water adventures including tube slides, body slides, wave pools, lazy river, family fun house, kids water play area and the Pacific Spin. Campers will enjoy 4 days at Soak City. In addition, campers will participate in sports, arts & crafts and other fun activities. Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

British Soccer (full day or half day)
The British are coming! One of the most respected and experienced soccer training organizations in the United States, Challenger British Soccer Camp has invited the South Bay Family YMCA to offer one of their highly praised training camps to the growing soccer community in San Diego. The camp will be coached by a member of the British Staff flown to show the USA exclusively to perform a series of summer coaching camps for Challenger British Soccer Camps. During the week of camp, the staff will hold a free clinic for parents and coaches. This camp is for all abilities. Are you the next World Cup star? If so, then this camp is for you. Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

Create a Rock Band (this is a 2 week camp)
Attention all singers, drummers, guitar players¦are you ready to rock? If so this camp will be a great way for campers to create their own rock band with the help of the video game. At the beginning of this 2 week session camp, campers will form their own band and practice their skills. At the end of the second week they will perform in front of a live audience.

Multi Sport - SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS
Come join us for an exciting week of sports. This camp is a sports leadership training program with daily sports instructions provided by the YMCA Youth Sports Department. Program will feature daily clinics, scrimmages and basic fundamentals covering a wide range of sports. *Campers are encouraged to bring their own sports equipment. In addition campers will participate in arts & crafts and other fun activities. Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

Martial Arts
The traditional martial arts of Japan are replete in Asian tradition and cultural values. Respecting of one's elders, teachers, family and friends are deeply ingrained into the heart of every Hayashi-ha practitioner. The value of discipline and personal accountability brings to light one's own ability to make his or her future as they choose. One learns to take charge of one's life and ultimately one's future. Children and young adults in the program are instilled with these values from the beginning through a rigorous program of basic self defense, kata (forms), and kumite (sparring), and are given the tools to grow and learn. Also included are physical exercises for all ages and games for younger students. In addition, campers will participate in sports, arts & crafts and other fun activities. Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

Mad Science NASA Space Academy
Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to bring you the excitement and wonder of space in the NASA Space Academy camp. This is your chance to be a rocket scientist! Explore the science involved in rocket construction as you build your own rocket. Watch an amazing rocket launch as it soars into the sky. Use team work to complete an important space mission and build a model space station. Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in our mad Sciences planetary tour. This stellar camp is your ticket to the stars as you journey through the galaxy. Take home projects include sky blazer II rocket, Shuttle Copter, Lighting Launcher, Shimmering stars, Catch-a-Comet, Kepler's cube and more! Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

Fencing Cabrillo Academy of the Sword
Fencing camp offers participants an introduction to the unique sport of swordplay. Campers will be taught the basic positions, thrust, and parries of fencing, with an emphasis on fun drills and games. Campers will have plenty of opportunities to fence bouts with each other. Camper will need to bring a lunch and sunscreen daily.

Pirate Shores Lego-Land
Ahoy Maties! Get your pirate name and learn to talk and swagger like a pirate! Build a pirate ship and try on pirate garb and tattoos optional! Set sail through pirate-infested waters on Splash Battle and take you best watery cannon shot at fellow scallywags. Outdoor games including treasure hunt. Bring a towel on Monday and Thursday! Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

Star Wars
It is Jedi training time. We need to get all of our young warriors ready to tackle evil. It's time for the force to be with us. This is a fantasy camp, including, performing arts, martial arts, costuming, arts and crafts, magic, and super powers. Camper will need to bring lunch and sunscreen daily.

Son Rock Shepherds Vacation Bible Camp
Join us for Church of the Good Shepherd's Vacation Bible School! Held on Good Shepherd's park-like grounds in central Bonita, this camp is a fun-filled Vacation Bible School that will give your child memories to last a lifetime. This Christian, non-denominational camp includes skits every day by the Son Rock actors, high energy games, music and dance, crafts, and story-telling where kids have fun learning about important life lessons without even realizing it. The program culminates in a Friday evening potluck BBQ and closing program (on June 26, 2009) which the whole family is invited to, where the kids will show off everything they have learned during the week.
